Marketing Data and Customer Experience Internship

MI Windows and Doors has an exciting opportunity for a motivated, passionate, and thought-provoking intern to join its dynamic Sales and Marketing team. This internship provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience with a large and rapidly growing company while learning what it’s like to work in a fast-paced environment within an ever-developing B2B sales and marketing organization. The intern will learn about various sales and marketing functions, and work closely with the entire team to develop systems to measure our customers’ experiences and buying decision reasoning.


  • Support multiple initiatives based on academic coursework and professional interests, including but not limited data analytics, market research, voice of the customer, and CRM system management
  • Assist in the execution of MI’s 2018 Sales & Marketing Plan
  • Assist in the development of customer experience surveys and subsequent reporting
  • Be the internal customer advocate by leveraging Voice of the Customer (VoC) feedback
  • Develop, enhance, and streamline customers’ experiences and create actionable insights that extend loyalty and engagement
  • Monitor integration points within companywide CRM system (Microsoft Dynamics)
  • Educate and influence business leaders to improve reliance on analytics in making decisions
  • Observe and collaborate with sales representatives in the field to gain understanding of the nuances of customer relationships and business interactions
  • Interact with larger corporate teams and other business stakeholders as needed
  • Conduct other tasks as assigned


Note: The intern’s personal interests and concentration of studies will be considered when determining projects and duties.


  • Junior or senior working toward a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Data Analytics, Statistics, or related field
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Desire to learn and add valuable insights to group projects and discussions
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience Excel Power Pivot or Power BI a plus
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities while working both independently and in multidisciplinary teams
  • Knowledge of customer service practices
  • Understanding of data analysis and ability to draw clear conclusions from abstract findings
  • Strong written and oral communications skills
  • Sound organizational and interpersonal skills
