Field Service Technician - Gratz, PA


Inspect MI Windows and Doors products and determine solutions to problems along with installation of parts of windows and doors.


  • Acknowledges receipt of service, and contacts the homeowner or job super within 2-3-week timeframe to schedule service.
  • When scheduling the service with the homeowner or job super, also schedules the service in SharePoint, thus enabling all Customer Care Representatives to know approximately where each individual technician will be working on any given day, in relation to any MIWD service work which is being performed.
  • Acknowledges each order that is processed for service work, confirming the load date, sizing, quantity, etc., for accuracy.
  • When receiving parts for a service, inspects for any shipping damage and accuracy of the order. Also, those service technicians who receive parts directly at an MIWD facility, a necessary paperwork pertaining to MIWD is completed and supplied back to MIWD Shipping Department.
  • Performs service, being courteous and prompt when doing so. If the service rep is not going to meet the appointed timeframe of a service, will immediately contact the homeowner/job super to advise them of such, and reschedule immediately if possible.
  • When service is complete, acknowledges such in SharePoint, providing details as to exactly the work which was performed on the service, and also any problems or issues which may have arisen. Also acknowledges if any additional parts have been ordered for either the service tech to return to the home, or which may be shipping direct to the homeowner/job super. Please note that if parts are shipping direct to the homeowner/job super, that the homeowner/job super is confident and comfortable with installing said parts.

  • High school diploma or equivalent require
  • Ability to interface with individuals with diverse backgrounds
  • Be able to lift, carry, and install heavy window parts
  • Knowledge of SharePoint is a plus
  • Communicate with customers effectively and professional appearance and manner
  • Recognize problems in windows and doors and always present MIWD in a positive way
  • Always have a neat, professional appearance and manner
  • Recognize MI products both past and present
  • Ability to arrange and schedule multiple appointments
