  • Overview

    To assist in the direction and oversight of all financial activities of the assigned Region including preparation of various financial reports and providing financial and accounting leadership/support to plant management in maximizing operational efficiency and profitability.


    • Assists in the preparation of regional financial reports including, but not limited to, income statements, respective balance sheet accounts, margin analysis, plant profitability analysis, etc.
    • Reviews reports to analyze projections of sales and profit against actual figures, budgeted expenses against final totals, and suggests methods of improving the planning process as appropriate.
    • Ensure maintenance of appropriate internal controls and financial procedures.
    • Uses generally accepted accounting practices and corporate policy to audit plant financial activity.
    • Assists in the preparation of accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP and corporate policy.
    • Assists in the preparation of monthly financial data, analysis, and commentaries for assigned regions.
    • Assist in the preparation of annual budget, monitors monthly variances and recommends corrective actions as needed for assigned regions.
    • Analyzes and reports plant financial performance.
    • Quantifies manufacturing cost, provides profit margin analyses, and adjusts profitability projections based upon margins.
    • Participates in the justification review of capital spending projects.
    • Audits and forecasts capital spending in accordance with corporate capital budget.
    • Represents region on corporate manufacturing system improvement projects.
    • Assists with the development of Corporate Policies and Procedures intended to ensure that plant accounting, costing and inventory practices are consistently applied and followed.
    • Acts as financial advisor to plant and regional management.  
    • Advises and participates in development and execution of profit improvement strategies and tactics.
    • Special projects as requested by the Regional Controller, Corporate Controller, Chief Financial Officer and/or Plant Management.

    • BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance or related degree; CPA, CFA, CMA, or MBA a plus.
    • The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of accounting experience with at least 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
    • Hands-on individual with strong integrity and a desire to work in a dynamic environment.
    • Strong analytical skills and experience interpreting a strategic vision into an operational model.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects to completion with sound business judgment.
    • Ability to prioritize work and adapt quickly to change.
    • Experience with ERP systems.
    • Advanced computer skills with the ability to create and maintain accurate reporting documents.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with senior leaders and collaborate with staff at all organizational levels across various business units is required.
    • Up to 10% travel required
